Ski & Snowboard Shop Technician

Job Description:
​Join our team as a Ski Rental Technician and play a vital role in delivering an exceptional winter sports experience for our customers. As a skilled technician, you'll be responsible for efficiently fitting and adjusting ski equipment, ensuring that each customer receives personalized and comfortable gear tailored to their skill level and preferences. Your attention to detail and knowledge of ski equipment will contribute to a seamless rental process, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:​

1. Customer Interaction 
   - Greet and assist customers in selecting appropriate ski equipment based on their skill level, preferences, and sizing requirements.
   - Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to enhance the overall experience.
   
   
2. Equipment Fitting and Adjustment
   - Conduct precise and efficient ski boot fittings, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit for customers.
   - Adjust ski bindings according to recommended settings, considering individual skier details.
   
   
3. Maintenance and Repairs
   - Perform routine maintenance on ski equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
   - Identify and address minor repairs promptly, collaborating with the maintenance team for more extensive issues
   
   
4. Inventory Management
   - Monitor and manage ski equipment inventory, ensuring availability and proper storage.
   - Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any discrepancies.
   
   
5. Compliance with Safety Standards:
   - Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines in the rental process.
   - Assist in promoting a safe skiing environment by communicating safety practices to customers.
   
   
6. Team Collaboration:
   - Work closely with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and efficient rental operation.
   - Support other departments during peak times or special events.
   
   
7. Administrative Tasks:
   - Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to the rental process.
   - Input customer data accurately into the rental system.
   
   
8. Continuous Improvement:
   - Actively seek feedback from customers and colleagues to identify areas for improvement.
   - Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications:​

• Previous experience in ski equipment rental or a similar role is advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ski equipment, including bindings, boots, and skis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic understanding of ski maintenance and repair techniques.

​Details: 

• Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (plus tips) 
• Benefits: Flexible schedule 
• Schedule: 4 hour shift / 8 hour shift​

• Hourly wage depends on experience
